Gilt decorated Blue Cloth on Boards. Book is clean and tight. Pastedown bookplates on endpaper and ffep, from two separate former owners. Former Owner's signature on Half Title. a white spot in runnel on front hinge, a dent in the top edge of the back board. a Peaen to the joys of nature and rural life by a very popular playwright and author in his day. This book went to multiple printings. Given the publication date and the New York State location of the author it could be seen as the text equivalent of a Hudson River School painting.
