Marbled endpapers. The original exhibition wrappers are not bound in. Creasing and wear to the binding. A presentation copy given to family friends by Andrew Wyeth, who inscribed the half title page: "For XXX and YYY | my dear friends | " Boards. An exhibition catalog of Andrew Wyeth's works which were exhibited in Tokyo, Japan (April 6 - May 19, 1974) and Kyoto, Japan (May 25 - June 30, 1974). 88 works are illustrated in black and white and color. The catalog preliminaries include a translation into Japanese of an article by Richard Meryman titled "Andrew Wyeth: An Interview" which first appeared in Life Magazine May 14, 1965. Following the reproductions of Wyeth's works are a brief biography, a list of works shown with titles, and a bibliography (all in Japanese). The original exhibition catalog has illustrated wrappers. The Wyeth's had this nicer hardcover binding put on before Andrew inscribed and gifted it to family friends. We will provide a letter of provenance signed by Jamie Wyeth confirming that a) the inscription is in his father's hand b) that the binding was done by a binder the family uses, and c) confirming the identity of the family friends. A unique copy for the Andrew Wyeth enthusiast.

The dust jacket on the book has about a one inch by 1/2 inch chunk missing in top right corner and very minor tearing in corners. Overall in good condition.
