Fine in clay-colored cloth with gilt and brown lettering to the spine; in an illustrated dust jacket that is very faintly rubbed and shows some pale dots of stain to reverse of spine panel. Jacket design by Reynold Ruffins. A novel about two families in Venice between World Wars I and II. Marco Partibon left years ago, but now his grandmother has died and his niece and nephew are trying to find him and bring him back to Venice to help them with the Fascist Fassola family.
