hardcover, 9 1/2" x 6 1/4", with dust jacket 272 pages Red cloth bound boards, 14 b&w photographs, 32 b&w illustrations in the text, detailed appendices, index. Freemasonry is the world's largest secret society - although freemasons deny that statement, saying it is merely a society with secrets preserved by ancient ceremonies. Much of the ceremonial of masonic initiation was revealed in a BBC telelision documentary, produced by the author of this book (he is not a mason or a Roman Catholic). This book includes further material which some who saw the program were prompted to give. Ours is a much-borrowed ex-library book in transparent protective covering, with reinforced spine & hinges, and usual stamps, stickers, barcode etc. Half of rear free endpaper has been cut off. Wear to bottom boards. GOOD/GOOD.
