WALLACE, Edgar. THE TOMB OF TS'IN. [London]: Hutchinson Library Services, [1972]. 8vo., dark-blue cloth in dust jacket; 150 pages. First Revised Edition. Very Good (covers bright; contents clean & tight; little browning & minor rubbing (no chips or tears, price is present) d/j. $125.00.
Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. A UK first edition - one of Wallace's hardest to find first editions. Lacking the wrapper. Original blue boards, rebacked - possibly with a spine from the 1918 issue. Damp affected boards have been crudely re-coloured at the edges. All corners gently rubbed. Bright and clean spine with fresh and bold gilt lettering. New endpapers. First few pages damp stained - text bock is otherwise clean. Toned closed page edges. No ownership inscriptions. Tight binding. A good only copy with faults, but of a title that is very scarce in first edition. PayPal accepted.

pp. 303, (i) blank, 16 Advertisements. Frontispiece, with tissue guard. Original blue cloth, gilt lettering, spine rubbed at ends and edges and with a tiny puncture, corners a little bumped, front joint with a small tear through the end-paper at the lower edge, early signature on front free end-paper, a few corners creased, one margin with a dust mark at the top, overall a good copy of this very elusive title.

First Edition
Hard Cover. Dust Jacket Condition: Dust Jacket. First Edition. (London: Ward Lock & Co., Limited 1916). First UK Edition. First edition. pp. 303, (i) blank, 16 Advertisements at the rear of the book for Ward Lock's popular fiction. Frontispiece, with tissue guard. Publisher's original blue cloth with gilt lettering to the spine and front board. Spine tips softened otherwise a bright and clean VG+ copy with with some light foxing to the page block edges which has crept into the text block in places. In the EXCEEDINGLY SCARCE VG dust wrapper which has been clipped to all 4 corners. The front panel of the D/W matches the frontispiece. The spine is darkened and there is shallow loss at the head and tail thereof. One of the legendary scarce titles of the Edgar Wallace canon. Kiddle gives it a rarity factor of 275 and regards it is a "great rarity". In our experience it turns up - from time tom time - without D/W but in its original D/W it is VIRTUALLY UNHEARD-OF. The last copy of this book to appear in D/W was about 12+ years ago. Photographs/scans available up[on request.
