The story of a Catholic Chaplin in the Great War who carried God s words and Sacrament to soldiers in the front lines, hospitals, and wherever needed. Born in 1885 in Chatham, New Brunswick, Benedict Joseph Murdoch served as a Parish Priest in Douglastown and Jacquet River and also as a Chaplin to the 132nd North Shore Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Forces. Pages yellowed, page 11 has a previous owner s signature, also the inside of the back cover. Two cataloguing numbers on spine. Black stain on upper left-hand corner of cover. First two pages loose.
