The boards are tight, straight and clean, with gilt titles to front and gilt pattern to back strip - very good condition. The spine cloth ends are a little worn. Good red patterned end papers; yellow book plate on front paste down. Gilt cut edges. The text block is printed in two columns; tightly bound, square and clean. Frontispiece of Longfellow with clean tissue guard. No inscriptions etc. Very good condition.

Light tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Water staining to both boards. Wear marks overall.
