Covering the period 1815-1822, with letters to a range of contacts; from the Archduke Rudolph to Beethoven's fishmonger. B/w illustrations: some of the letters have facsimiles and there is one of a sketch for the credo of the 'Missa Solemnis' - image. Some of the correspondence includes musical notation/scores etc (image). Carmine red coloured cloth boards with gilt titles along the spine. Top edge is tanned grey/blue; the other edges show some spotting. Tight binding.
