Clean, tight, square and bright copy bound in yellow cloth with titles green on spine and red on front cover, and red and green floral ornaments. Rear endpaper and last three pages have a vertical crease 2" from foredge, otherwise unmarked and fine. Dust jacket is unclipped ($2.95), protected in removable mylar, chipped and torn, with 1" triangles of missing paper. Chappell's adaptation of Perrault's story is illuminated with his color and B&W illustrations. Tschaikovsky's musical themes are sprinkled throughout. Unpaginated.
