Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Edwina (illustrator). 1st Edition. This offering is an older copy of Sinbad, A Dog's Life illustrated by Edwina. The book was published by Coward-McCann, Inc. in 1930 and appears to be a First Edition of sorts though it is not specifically stated as such. Apparently Sinbad was a cartoon that appeared in Life magazine . . . and this is a collection of those cartoons. It is a not an ex-library copy, has no dust jacket, and is in only good condition. The pages are yellowing and there is some foxing to the end pages. The book is 8 5/8" by 10 7/8" and has about 100 one sided pages . . . so the cartoons COULD be framed. Thank you!.
There are a few leaves with 1" closed tears. I looked for info to collate this book but could not find how many leaves there should be. I looks like there could be a page missing but I cannot tell for sure. Still it is so cute and so funny and it is in very good condition. 4to. 10-7/8" x 8-5/8". Pictorial tan paper covered boards stamped in red and black. Unpaginated. 40 leaves, each printed only on the recto side, telling a little story about the adventures of the terrier Sinbad in 12 vignette pictures. Of course Sinbad has a boy and a grandma.

Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. No Jacket. Edwina (illustrator). 1st English Edition, unpaginated. Tan paper on boards, brown cloth spine. Illustration of Sinbad on front cover. Covers very lightly worn. Slight age tanning on the free endpapers from contact with cover glue. Interior very clean & tight. Sinbad is a little terrier puppy who first appeared in Life Magazine about 1928. His adventures are recorded as cartoon type illustrations without words (the pictures speak for themselves). First Edition
Hardcover. First Edition [1930], unstated. Good+: shows moderate wear to the extremities (the paper over the boards has worn through to the underlying boards at the corner tips); mild rubbing, faint, but pervasive soiling and a touch of foxing here and there; the spine leans somewhat, but remains secure. The text is clean. Shows some wear and soiling, but remains structurally sound and securely bound: a clean, sturdy, presentable copy. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. Large Format 4to. Unpaginated. First Edition [1930], unstated (no colophon at the copyright page - which Coward McCann used to denote first editions only sporadically during this period, but no further printings noted either). Hardback: No DJ 'as issued'.

Book
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Edwina (Edwina Dumm) (illustrator). First UK Edition. Beautifully illustrated sweet and charming adventures of the mischievous pup, who first appeared in America's Life magazine in 1928. Edwina was Ohio-born Edwina Dumm (1893-1996) who was America's first full-time female editorial cartoonist and one of the country's first female syndicated cartoonists. Illustrated grey boards remain attractive but front board is very slightly bowed and they have shelf dirt, a couple of small stains and some light smudges, corners mildly bumped, edges tanned, toning to end papers, pages are clean save for the odd tiny unobtrusive spot here or there, mild cracked hinge in middle of book but binding remains firm. Grading commensurate with age of book & book is priced accordingly. Dispatched from the UK same or next working day.
