Publisher?s advertisement on both paste-downs and both sides of both free endpapers. With an introduction by Henry Morley. In Routledge's Morley's Universal Library series - the first title to be published in that series. (Books in the Morley's Universal Library appeared at monthly intervals from 1883 to 1886, priced at 1/- or 1/6 according to the binding. This cheaper binding is now the more scarce. CONDITION. Fair. Corners bumped; edges somewhat scuffed; the boards a little rubbed; the spine crushed and with small tears at crown and toe. Joints and rear hinge sound; front hinge torn. Mild foxing throughout. There are creases and discolouration on pages 16-17 which appear to date from the book's manufacture. No inscriptions or other internal marks. At worst a good reading copy.
