First Edition
First Edition. Stated "First edition" with letters "BCDE" as HBJ did from 1973-1983 to designate first editions. (Allen Ahearn.) With the full signature of "Andy Warhol" underscored and overscored in black flair pen. Very good condition in black paper-covered boards and black cloth spine stamped luminously in blue. With a small stain at the bottom edges of the center of the fore-edge. Otherwise, clean and tight throughout with a fascinating section of photographs in the center of the book. In a complete dustjacket printed in purple, green, white and black. With the original price of $12.95 at the top of the front inside flap which has a length-wise vertical crease. The front panel features a self-portrait photo of Warhol in the true Warhol Pop-Art style. With a great black and white photo of Warhol and his cat on the rear panel. Warhol is holding a box of "Brillo" and the cat seems to be eating. Touch of wear to the top and bottom edges of the spine and at the corners. A scarce Warhol item with the full signature. First Edition. Stated "First edition" with letters "BCDE" as HBJ did from 1973-1983 to designate first editions. (Allen Ahearn.).

Warhol's own fascinating account of his conquest of the New York art world and brilliantly entertaining and informative tales of the dozens upon dozens of celebrities who yearned to be in his company. A genuine page-turner -- boldly signed on the front endpaper by Warhol in Sharpie marking pen, in which he has turned his final letter L into a circle.

Handsomely bound in finely woven black cloth spine stamped luminously in silvery blue; and in black paper-covered boards. A near fine copy, crisp and tight, virtually unread. In a complete, near fine, crisp dust jacket with the price of $12.95 at the top of the inside front flap. The front panel features a self-portrait photo of Warhol in the true Warhol Pop-Art style. With a great black and white photo of Warhol and his cat on the rear panel. Warhol is holding a box of "Brillo" and the cat seems to be eating. A superb, collectible copy, signed and inscribed with a drawing. This copy has been inscribed in black flair ink by Andy Warhol at the top of the front endpaper to the late D.D. Ryan of Harper's Bazaar Fashion Fame: "to D.D. love Andy" and decorated with a drawing of vagina. D.D. Ryan (Dorinda Dixon Ryan), was a fashion designer at Harper's Bazaar where she worked with Diana Vreeland and Richard Avedon. Included in Dorinda's circle of friends were: Truman Capote, Andy Warhol, Hilary Knight, Kay Thompson, and many others. D.D. was married to John Barry Ryan, III, and the couple is mentioned in Frewin's book "The Late Mrs. Dorothy Parker" on p.305 in a paragraph listing a gathering "of social notables." Popism was co-authored by Warhol's frequent collaborator and long-time friend, Pat Hackett, and covers the years 1960-1969, focusing primarily on Warhol's art and film work. It includes anecdotes about celebrities and infamous Factory characters. It is culled in part from the many reels of audio tape that Warhol obsessively recorded during that period. (Wikipedia) First Edition. Stated "First edition" with letters "BCDE" as HBJ did from 1973-1983 to designate first editions. (Allen Ahearn.).
