Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. HARDBACK - A near fine or better book, bound in deep red cloth boards with gilt lettering to the spine. There is a little pushing to the spine tip with a small faint bump to the top corner of the front panel. Internally, the pages are very clean indeed, free of any previous owner names or inscriptions. There is the merest hint of foxing to the top page block. Inscribed by the author to the front end paper, reading TO / MRS BELSON / FROM / AGATHA CHRISTIE / SEPT 1970. The dust wrapper is in near fine condition with minor rubbing to the spine tip, and with the usual fading to the red lettering present to the spine. The publisher's printed price of 25s.d.net / 1.25.net is present to the bottom of the front flap. A most attractive example. Signed by Author(s).

Cloth. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. None (illustrator). First edition. A vanishingly scarce to see signed first edition of this classic Christie mystery, signed by Christie to friend and confidante, Carlo Fisher. The first edition, first impression with no further impressions stated. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. With a dedication from Christie to the front free endpaper reading 'To Carlo with love from Agatha Christie (Missus!) Sept. 1970'. A particularly nice inscription, demonstrating the familiar 'Missus' Carlo would call Agatha, and dated by Christie in the month of publication. From the library of Charlotte 'Carlo' Fisher with her bookplate to front paste down. Hired as a governess for her daughter Rosalind, Fisher would later work as Christie's secretary, transcribing a number of her novels, notably The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, considered the turning point in her literary career. The pair soon became close friends, with Fisher acting as one of very few true confidantes for the often reclusive and shy Agatha. The association of this work is not simply that of an employee of Christie, but of her closest and longest standing friend. An exceptional copy of this work with a personal association from the greatest detective writer of all time. An exceptional provenance having passed from the possession of Carlo Fisher to Rolling Stone Charlie Watts.'Passenger to Frankfurt' is a thrilling espionage novel, following Stafford Nye, a middle aged diplomat, as he steps into the world of spies and secret agents. In the original cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally in excellent condition with slight fading to the extremities. Dust wrapper is in excellent with sunning to the spine as is common with this work. The odd spot to the reverse of the wrap. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Signed by the author to the front free endpaper. Near Fine. signed by author. book.
