This is the complete 12 Volume A-Z set but with no Plates. Text arranged in Double Columns. Contemporary Brown Calf Half-Leather Bindings with Maroon textured Cloth covered Boards and Leather Corners. 5 Raised Bands to spines which have Gilt Linear Decoration. Gilt Lettering on Black grounds in 2nd Compartments (2 missing). All Page edges Marbled. 9 7/8" Tall. Some wear to leather (see photos). Hinges sound and Bindings firm. No inscriptions. Only an occasional spot of foxing, most pages in nice, clean condition, a few have some darkening or more foxing. One page margin has a small piece torn away. Illustrated throughout with engravings, many with contemporary hand colouring. Contemporary ownership signature to half-titles, pencilled doodle to front free endpaper of vol. I.
