Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Dr. Seuss (illustrator). 1st Edition. Beginner's Books - Random House. New York. 1966. First edition, first printing in original DJ. B-44 on base of spine on both book and DJ. A vintage, non-obnoxious price sticker applied to the DJ flap on upper corner just below where 195/195 has been clipped. We know this price thanks to the French and Spanish dictionary adverts on rear of DJ; a first-issue DJ point. Book is tight and clean inside and out. Binding and hinges are strong and sound. Book is so bright, clean and tight it would grade fine if not for shelf-rubbing along panel edges. Base of title page has a faint pink H stamped near bottom corner. DJ is bright, clean and attractive. DJ shows rubbing along edges, light rubbing at tips, an edge wrinkle and a thin open chip at crown. Dr. Seuss' third title written under a pseudonym. First, first in original DJ. VG+.

Illustrated by Richard Erdoes. 64 pp. 1 vols. 8vo. Pictorial boards. Fine in an unclipped, very good dust jacket, priced (195/195) Illustrated by Richard Erdoes. 64 pp. 1 vols. 8vo.
Condition: Very good plus in like jacket. First edition, first printing of this colorful journey through the many types of houses around the world, as introduced by the children who live in them. With charming rhyming text by Theo. LeSieg (AKA Dr. Seuss) and vibrant mid-century modern art by Richard Erdoes, COME OVER TO MY HOUSE is a cheerful introduction to the many different forms of home. Erdoes was an Austrian anti-Nazi caricaturist who fled to the US, where he found success as a commercial artist for publications including the NEW YORK TIMES and NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC. In many ways, COME OVER TO MY HOUSE feels stylistically and philosophically similar to Disneyland's IT'S A SMALL WORLD ride, which debuted in 1964. A scarcer Seuss title. 9'' x 6.5''. Original color pictorial boards. Original unclipped (195/195) color pictorial dust jacket, with correct list of titles on rear panel (ref. Younger). Red and yellow pictorial endpapers of houses from around the world. Illustrated in color. 64 pages. Jacket with a bit of edgewear, touch of foxing at edges. Binding somewhat bumped at spine. Small erased pencil mark to front flyleaf. Clean and bright.
