A follow up book to 'Nurse Matilda', this sweet story concerns a visit paid by the outrageously naughty Brown children upon Aunt Adelaide in London, with Nurse Matilda yet again being called to the rescue. Condition: Near Fine. The front board is a little scratched at the base, otherwise the book remains in excellent condition being absolutely, clean and un-thumbed with blue ribbon intact and having no inscriptions within. The dust cover is price clipped. It isonly a very little worn at the edges with one small scratch mark on the front and a little bit of foxing at the top.

Inside there are some light handling folds, the odd mark and two pages have some brown marks in the margins, otherwise a very good. Size 16 x10.5cm (6 x 4 inches) Nurse Matilda was eventually made into a film titled Nanny McPhee . In this story The Brown children go to stay with their Aunt Adelaide in London and Nurse Matilda has to be called in again. Provenance: Andrew Murray, Director of Mayor Gallery, Cork Street, London. The Mayor Gallery exhibited Ardizzone s work in the 1960 s. Andrew Murray lent his personal collection of books and prints etc. to the travelling exhibition by Middlesbrough Museum in 1982.
