Orange paper covered boards with orange, green and black illustrations on the front and back panels; black lettering on front panel and spine. Boards are a bit soiled overall. Edges at head and tail of board spine are crimped and rubbed. Board edges are scuffed but not rubbed through. Faint hints of foxing on the end-papers. Text pages are age-toned, small stains on four pages. Text block is sound and gutters are solid. Please use close-up options for best inspection and in support of condition descriptions. Nothing at All is a 1941 picture book by Wanda Gag. The story is about an invisible dog named Nothing at All and his attempts to turn visible. The book was a recipient of a 1942 Caldecott Honor for its illustrations. Wanda Hazel Gag (March 11, 1893 - June 27, 1946) was an American artist, author, translator, and illustrator. She is best known for writing and illustrating the children's book Millions of Cats, the oldest American picture book still in print. Gag was also a noted print-maker, receiving international recognition and awards. Growing Pains, a book of excerpts from the diaries of her teen and young adult years, received widespread critical acclaim. Two of her books were awarded Newbery Honors and two received Caldecott Honors.
