Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. ALFRED HITCHCOCK AND THE THREE INVESTIGATORS #10 - THE MYSTERY OF THE MOANING CAVE by WILLIAM ARDEN, illustrated by Harry Kane, published by Random House, copyright 1968, First Printing (lists to itself on back cover), no references to Gibraltar Library Binding on rear cover, blue graveyard illustrated endpapers, fully illustrated boards. Book has no creased page corners, slight age darkening/dust soiling/foxing to outer page edges, endpapers are clean and free from any tape residue, no tearing or splitting of page block from internal hinges (very common defect with these early 3 investigator books - the glue on the page block is always separately from the boards), no former owner's markings or used bookseller stamps inside, no wear to board edges or to board corners, almost no wear to spine tips (couple of tiny pressure marks to left side on spine), no soiling or staining to boards, NO color rubbing to boards (common defect with this book), no color fading to boards, NO spine sun fading (common defect caused when boards exposed to sunlight), no bumped board corners. Note: This book comes protected by a removable clear Brodart book cover (cover is not taped to book - it can be simply slipped off if desired) which prevents further rubbing/soiling damage to the outer boards. Any white marks/glare lines in the photo are simply glare from the flatbed scanner reacting to this Brodart cover (and are not actual defects with the book). Overall a FINE-/N-FINE book of a hardcover first printing Three Investigators book. I have a number of other hardcover and paperback Three Investigator books up for sale.
