Foxing on foredges and endpapers tanned, but otherwise clean and tight. The jacket is foxed and quite worn, with several tears along the edges and spine, but still in one piece. An early title by Dorothy Emily Stevenson (1892-1973), a British romance author who became popular in the U.S. when her books were published in paperback in the 1960s. This novel deals with small town England in the aftermath of the British defeat at Dunkirk.
