Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Poor. 1st Edition. This still fascinating study into a niche of the English character is in general good condition. The dustjacket, though, is poor and fragile. It has much wear and tear, and is faded and sun-weakened. The moss coloured cloth cover is in good condition. There is little wear. The corners have shelf depressions and bottom edge runs are shelf discoloured. The paper trim edges have discolouration particularly around the foot from shelving and use. Inside the condition is very good for its age with clean, clear, firm, complete pages. They are easy to the eye and the illustration plates are bright. fk.
