Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. Edition Unstated. list of illustrations, preface by the editors and index to recipes. The endpapers have been printed on a slightly yellow coloured stock and have advertisements for various cooking / advice. The text is illustrated with black and white photographs and illustrations, along with a coloured frontispiece showing various ways to present game birds. Khaki coloured cloth covered boards with white coloured titles to the backstrip. There is no readily available date of publication, but given the photographs within the text. My best guess would be 1950s. The classic "Mrs Beeton's" which has been trimmed down to a more user-friendly size. The complete title page reads:  "Mrs Beeton's Cookery; Practical and Economical Recipes to Every-Day Dishes, and general instructions in Marketing, Trussing, Cookery etc. Invalid Cookery, Labour-Saving, Carving etc." Softening to the backstrip edges and lower book corners with rubbing of the lower book edges and top book corners. Flecking, and results of insect activity can be seen along the top and lower edges of the book. Browning and foxing to the textblock edges with browning of the pages. A previous owner has placed a recipe on the title page, in blue coloured ink. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [4], 5-256 pages, Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Quantity Available: 1.
