Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First Edition ( 'First published in 1960 by The Viking Press' ). Signed and inscribed on the blank first front end paper: 'To Bob Madison, Sincerely Quent Reynolds.' 16 pages of photographs. You can see the covers of the book in the photos. They are perfectly clean. They are in excellent shape, just a little crinkling at the spine ends. The edges and corners look very good. The black lettering on the spine is very bright. The top page edge is black. The bottom page edge has two smallish spots of soiling. Neither one migrated onto any of the actual pages. These pages are in excellent condition and exceptionally clean. I scrolled through them a good number of times and found only one small spot off the edge of one page, not touching the print. I didn't see any creasing. There are no markings. No attachments. And with the exception of the author's signed inscription, no one has written their name or anything else anywhere in the book. All of the pages with photographs are in very good condition as well. Despite being on glossy paper, there is no spotting or foxing. The book is square and very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages and nicely tight covers as well. The jacket has a little bit of wear. I've rated it Very Good taking into account that the book was published in 1960. There is a tiny bit of loss at the top edge of the spine and just adjacent at the top edge of the front. There's a little soiling on the lower part of the front cover and lower part of the spine (see photos). The flaps are in solid condition. They have four tucking-in corner clips, but the price is present and unaffected. There is one thin 1/4 inch tear off the middle edge of the front flap. I've had the jacket in a fitted protective cover for as long as I've owned the book which goes back a number of years. From the dust jacket: 'Here, for the first time, is the complete definitive story of the arch-murderer of our time--Adolf Eichmann. This book was begun several years ago, long before his dramatic capture brought Eichmann to the attention of the world. Ephraimm Katz and Zwy Aldouby, Israeli journalists now based in the United States, once served in the Haganah, their country's underground movement. Their years of research on the life of Eichmann-- the personal interviews they have conducted, the secret papers they have had access to-- gave them the most complete Eichmann file in existence. When it came to writing the book, it was natural to turn to Quentin Reynolds, the brilliant author-journalist, who has made seven trips to Israel and has an active interest in the country.'.
