He was employed as a civilian by the National Security Agency and had military served in the U.S. Army Counter Intelligence Corps. He went on to become a noted educator and academic. Late in his career he applied his knowledge, experience and scholarship as an archivist as the U.S. Army Cryptologic Records Center and as a History at the U.S. Army Center of Military History. It is believed that his final career position was as an historian with the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command. Illustrates the multifaceted diversity of modern Military Intelligence (MI). Aims to portray both the continuities between the past and the present and the successes of the MI community today. Consists chiefly of photographs which represent the different intelligence disciplines and depict a representative sampling of the organizations within the MI community. The text has been kept to a minimum out of security considerations and out of a desire to let the photographs themselves tell the bulk of the story. It is hoped that the photographs selected do portray the diversity of military intelligence activities and their historical continuity.
