(7546) Edizione originale, nella prima tiratura che non reca indicazione di migliaio alla copertina anteriore, che contrassegna invece le successive ristampe. In apertura vi è la dedicatoria a Maurice Barrès, già antidannunziano e poi convertitosi. Il "mistero" fu rappresentato al Théatre du Chatelet il 12 maggio 1911, con le musiche di Debussy (la partitura era in vendita presso l'editore Durand), e l'attrice russa Ida Rubinstein interpretò il ruolo di San Sebastiano; notevole fu il successo, malgrado l'interdiction dell'Arcivescovo di Parigi.
