Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. A very decent, sound copy. Although there is no date of publication stated within the book this is almost certainly the first impression, 1945. (This is also the year stated on the Dedication page.) Black cloth boards are clean with clear title lettering on the front board and spine. There is a little spotting along the back fore edge and spine and some knocks to the corner tips and extremities. A neat gift inscription to the top edge of the front fly leaf and dated 1945. Mild foxing appears mainly restricted to the page block edge. In all a VG copy.
