Green cloth, gilt lettering. Minor rubs at extremities, corners very lightly bumped, covers clean, gilt bright. Ownership front fixed endpaper, otherwise clean throughout, binding and hinges sound. A volume in The Bodley Head's Week-end Library, includes chapters on coffee-stalls, the beggars and derelicts of London, churchyards, cafe bars, driving in London after midnight, etc.

Illustrated with caracitures of various Londoners. Coated stock used for plates has wrinkled, as per usua l with this book. Dustjacket darkened at backstrip and generally age soiled, with small closed tear to lower rear panel. A book whose high acid paper is usually found foxed and toned, this copy very clean, inside and out, but for dustjacket. Very good+ in good jacket. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Most of the illustrations appear to be water-damaged also but perhaps it's just the type of paper used for them that makes them appear rather warped. Otherwise good. No DJ, so spine is somewhat faded, shelf wear light at corners.
