Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. University Books, New York. 1956. 256 pages. First edition, second printing, stated. Book is bright, tight and clean. Blue cloth panels are bright and clean. Four sharp corners. Pages and endpapers are bright and clean. Original DJ with $3.50 price intact on flap. Book's only flaw is a faint paper-clip outline along top edge of page 166 and mirroring page. Faint, nlind-impression of paper-clip on flanking pages; soon to flatten out as it was just removed. A most minor flaw, but disclosed. As for DJ, it is bright and attractive with light rubbing along folds. Rubs along edges of crown and heel, with a tiny chip at head. A most attractive copy with all flaws noted. Book contains the first reference to "Men in Black" which inspired the hit series The X-Files, as well as the Men in Black film dynasty. Near fine in VG+ DJ.
