Boards slightly bowed. Boards have been crudely attached with three pieces of clear tape across spine. Inscribed by previous owner on free front endpaper. Three pieces of cello tape to inside of front and rear board. Some rippling and sporadic foxing throughout. "A journal of the Life, Labours, Travels, &c. of Thomas Chalkley (1675-1741)." Chalkley was a Quaker mariner and missionary preacher of Welsh origin. This journal was widely read by many generations of Quakers. Binding in fair, interior in very good condition.
