Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. First edition copy reconstructed in 2003 with new boards, spine and endpapers. Original cover title has been pasted onto the new one. New gilt lettering on the spine. Original boards have been saved and will be included. Several of the advert pages in the front and rear have been creased and/or are worn. Other than some minor endpaper penciling, there are no known marks. The text block has yellowed, but is in good shape. The country tabs have minor wear. Technically, this is the second printing of the 1914 edition. Presumably, wartime demand required another printing. There was yet another wartime printing after this one. A handsome, sturdy and useable copy. Please contact me for an overseas shipping quote.
