A response from the author's wife is also attached, along with two obituaries for the author, clipped from newspapers. The author was suffering from Hepatitis at the time and unable to respond himself. Attached to the half-title page is a full colour Christmas-themed illustration by Bemelmans, which appears to have been clipped from a magazine. Previous owner's name stamped and written on front free endpaper. Dust jacket has some chips/tears around edges. A few small brown spots on the first dozen or so pages. Yellow coverboards with some soiling. Illustrated. Size: 8vo (8" to 9"). 380 pp.
