Jacket art by Peter Bramley. Interest in Farrell's work increased dramatically after his 1970 novel Troubles received the Lost Man Book Prize in 2010. Farrell's 1973 novel, The Siege of Krishnapur received the 1973 Booker Prize and was runner-up in the 1993 Booker of Bookers selection. Farrell drowned at age 44 in 1979. Fine in lovely dustjacket with half-inch creased tear at top edge of rear panel, else fine.

Very Good+: tight and square in clean and bright red boards gently pushed at the corners; bumped to spine ends; bright gilt and bright, unfaded grey-blue topstain. Internally clean and crisp, free of marks and inscriptions, though a little toned to the edge of the page block; charming Foyles label to the foot of the front pastedown (obscured by front flap). The unclipped dustwrapper (22s 6d net stated) is likewise Very Good, with some rubbing and light wear to the spine tips, corners and folds; a little chafed to the head of the spine and tiny chips to the corners; very bright and striking, with no fading to the spine presents beautifully in a removable, archival-quality Brodart protective cover. A very nice example of a rare early work. All orders are sent carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and sturdy cardboard.
