First published in 1996, the life and prodigious output of writings in Newnes' "Practical" series of magazines & other periodicals and his own books - on motoring, aviation, radio & television, science & engineering, modelling, etc, etc. ppVIII,104 with numerous illustrations in monochrome, black-and-white and line, list of books by F. J. (and Sir Sydney) Camm, and subscriber list. Card wrappers, front illustrated in colour. Foot of backstrip a little bumped, and nicked at lower corners as a result. Adjacent lower inner corner of rear wrapper bumped, affecting corresponding corners of contents with diminishing effect & extent back to about page 29. Rear wrapper also with surface crease above lower edge of length about 25mm, and lower edge with near-closed tear of length 15mm, crease of length 30mm towards outer corner, and bump of length 25mm between tear and inner corner, over which surface crumpled to a height up to 4mm, affecting corresponding positions of contents with dimininishing effect & extent back to page 83. The whole clean and tight. GOOD copy. Signed without dedication by author on page III opposite copyright page.
