Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 4to, stiff brown paper binder, containing the uncorrected copy typescript of this book (later published by Jonathan Cape, in 1943), comprising 147 leaves on thin paper, with dedication to Sir Winston Churchill, a client of Reves in his capacity as Literary Agent. The Hungarian author founded in 1933 the "Cooperation Publishing Service" as an anti-Nazi effot; he later espoused World Federalism and was quite likely a professional friend and acquaintance of American diplomat William C. Bullitt, from whose library this item derives. Unique.
