Anthology collecting six pieces by William Butler Yeats, written from 1886 to 1915, that show his appreciation for these earlier Irish poets. Included is a paper delivered by Kinsella at the MLA in 1966. This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition, the second volume in the "Tower Series of Anglo-Irish Studies." Not a common title. Mottled green paper-covered boards with gilt titling on the spine. Clean text; 72 pages, indexed. The Foreward is by Roger McHugh, the General Editor of the series. This copy has been SIGNED by Thomas Kinsella on the front free endpaper. Condition issues: a tiny bump to one corner; and the first two endpapers have some wrinkles where they are bound in (a publisher's defect, and does not really detract from the book). The dustwrapper indicates the faint bump mentioned and has some very faint hints of wrinkling at the head of the wrapper (really not much to complain about!). In an archival plastic protector. .
