No traditional dust jackets but rather a clear acetate wrapper with no writing. Book appears barely used and is in fine condition - clean and tightly bound. Clear wrapper has some clear tape repairs of a few tears with a chip and some folds.

Colour and b/w plates, documentation. With a lengthy warm presentation inscription from Davie to Joy M. Edwards dated 1970 on the half-title. With a further lengthy signed typed letter to Joy Edwards, dated 1983 on Davie's Gamel Studio paper. Also two private view invitations. Joy Edwards may have been connected to the Weitzenhoffer Gallery of New York with whom the Gimpel Gallery shared a space in the 1980's. With a fine large b/w portrait of Davie, by Jorge Lewinski (with his studio stamp on reverse).
