Original Cloth. Condition: Poor. First Edition. From the Boots lending Library with the residue of the Boots label to the front panel of the boards. Fading to the spine and a small stain to the rear panel and slight bumping to the corners. The page edges are browned with some spotting and the text block is slightly uneven at the edges with a slight spine lean. There are no stamps but the front free endpaper has been removed and the surface of the front pastedown torn away down the right hand edge. Spotting to the endpapers and title page with a few stains to some pages near the beginning of the book. The pages are otherwise generally unmarked although they do have a stale odour. No jacket. First printing.
