Melville William Hilton-Simpson (1881-1938) was a British traveler, anthopologist and ethnologist. His expedition to the Congo in 1907-09 was undertaken with the support of the British Museum. Covers are clean and bright, moderate foxing to text throughout.

Slightly shaken in the spine with some tenderness in the joints. Profusely illustrated with over 50 photographs reproduced on glossy stock. Folding map at rear is crisp and neat with no wear of note.
