Inscribed tp: "With the regards of the author Laura G. Salverson" with the recipient's name at foot (Ada Owen). The owner has further tipped three news articles to blank terminals (using paper tape), with attendant offset toning. Light rubbing to covers, gilt bright; top edge with a patch of discolouration. The Canadian issue (which is notoriously scarce, in comparison to the UK issue) remains elusive inscribed. Winner of the Governor-General's Award for Non-Fiction, 1939. Inscribed by Author(s).
