Upper right corner of the front cover and the first three leaves has been clipped. The other corners some wear and rounding. The edges are have light rubbing. The inside pages are clean and have a faint, soft crease mark along the front edge of the pages where they have been turned. The author is not named on the book but the story is credited on Felicite LeFevre on the internet. This edition includes bright and vibrant illustrations and pen and ink drawings by American artist Fern Bisel Peat.
