First Edition
First American Edition. Octavo (19cm). First American edition, bound from British sheets. Title page is a cancel with the Doran imprint; spine cloth bears the original Hodder & Stoughton slug. Classic work on the sociology of rural villages and the changes wrought by advancing technology. The first edition is somewhat uncommon.
