Publisher's grey-black weave boards with gilt lettering to the spine. Boards exceptionally bright and clean. The merest hint of foxing to the top and fore edges but with heavier foxing to both sets of end-papers. Overall a VG+ copy. The VG+ dustwrapper has no wear, tears or pieces missing and is a lovely example with just a hint of rubbing to the top and bottom left-hand corner of the front panel. A scarce, early, title by Jack Higgins written under his Harry Patterson pseudonym. "Nick Miller returns in this second book in the series. An interesting police procedural about a body found in the river. The first half deals with solving the mystery of her identity and how she ended up dead.
