First published in 1963, this is a fifth impression from 1976. Hardback. 489pp. Dust jacket in a protective sleeve. Fifty two of Saki's delicious short stories plus "the Unbearable Bassington" entire. Mr Lambert's introduction provides a just estimate of H H Munro's stories and also offers a glimpse of Saki's other writing - journalism, correspondence and his work as a historian of the Russian empire. Book in near fine condition and with an unread feel. Some extremely slight soiling to text block edges and the teeniest of creases to the bottom corners of three pages. Dust jacket very good. Only very slight edge wear and some slight soiling. Spine slightly faded. A really nice clean copy. Book.
