Two tiny (and tidy) former owner's names on fep, else the 206 pp text is crisp and unmarked. Original, un-clipped illustrated peach background dust wrapper shows small chips at periphery and 1/2" loss at head of backstrip that wraps around 1" onto the head of the rear panel. One 1" closed tear at foot of rear dj panel with 1/4" loss, one small, gently colored in sticker pull and two areas of light soil on frt panel. First hand account of the author's time amongst the Bedouin tribesman of the Arabian desert, shortly before the outbreak of World War I. Raswan spent time migrating, hunting, raiding, starving and feasting with them. Raswan traveled to the area initially to research the breeding and history of Arabian horses. Includes photographs taken by the author.
HARDCOVER. Little Brown, 1935. Third printing. A very good copy with a previous owners name to the front free endpaper. No d/w. This copy is from the library of Sir William Heseltine, the former Principal Private Secretary to PM Robert Menzies and later to Queen Elizabeth 11, and bears his bookplate to the front free endpaper.
