About this Item: Prentice-Hall. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. First ed., first printing, signed by author on front end paper and on t.p.; 147 p., immaculate and unmarked; cartoons by Eric Gurney; clean pink boards, unfaded black spines with tarnished gilt lettering; a bit of bumping due to absence of d.j.; Count Marco was an extremely popular columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle in the 1950s and 60s with an outrageous persona; this book of advice on how please a man was mainly for the ladies of "The Greatest Generation" and pre-boomers, whom it surely shocked and annoyed with its sexual frankness and its assumption that American women had everything to learn from European women; feminist readers now would be shocked by his assumption that women's lives are empty without masculine love and their main goal in life should be to please their "beasts." Whatever you think, you will be vastly entertained by his wit and some of his observations open a window into the past. Seller Inventory # SKU1015676
