Por otra parte, cartas inéditas hasta la fecha desvelan que Arendt decidió seguir los pasos de Heidegger aun antes de su célebre reencuentro del año 1950. Una filiación intelectual que desde luego no cabe reducir a la mera pasión amorosa y merece ser tomada muy en serio. Huelga decir que Arendt no comparte el antisemitismo exterminador de Heidegger, un antisemitismo que la reciente publicación de sus Cuadernos negros viene a corroborar.
