Illustrated with eight double-sided plates of black and white photographs, with a folding map at the rear of the volume. Also with several in-text and full-page charts and maps. Written by the famous explorer's great-great-granddaughter. With a facsimile of a letter from Parry laid in. The letter thanks a Mr. Erskine for inviting Parry's wife and children to his place of residence for a visit. Very light foxing to the top textblock; jacket is price-clipped with a pencil price on the front flap, jacket shows a few wrinkles and chips.
