Fine in a torn and slightly discoloured dustwrapper which is now protected in a clear removable plastic sleeve. [a detailed study of two men who probably never met or even knew of each other's existence, although they were 6th or 7th cousins. John McNachtane was born in Argyll, probably in 1690, and died in 1773. His kinsman John McNaghten was born in County Antrim, probably in 1724 and died in 1761].

Spine ends a little bumped. Generally clean though quite cheaply produced. Final page bound a little tightly, but secure. Jacket rubbed and a little chipped. Some soiling. Price sticker, apparently as issued, on back cover. Apart from a brief excursion to Cairo in 1887 and the final journey home to France, Rimbaud spent the whole of the years of 1880 to 1890 and the first part of 1891 at the foot of the Red Sea on both sides of the Gulf of Aden and in the lands now encompassed by Ethiopia.
