First 4to, stiff pictorial wrappers. Unpaginated (ca. 225 pp), 105 illustrations and text figures (10 in color), provenance. Exhibition list, bibliography. Something about the "findings, conclusions, etc." in this well-researched and documented catalog, produced by art history students at UC Riverside, ruffled the feathers of the National Endowment for the Arts, which had funded the project, causing a disclaimer to be pasted in above the NEA credit line on the copyright page. Exhibition April 16 - May 12, 1974 (at LACMA) and May 20 - June 20, 1974 (at Riverside). Internally very good, but cover creasing and a spineedge tear.

Magazine / Periodical
Newspaper. 12p. tabloid format Chicano activist newspaper, horizontal fold, evenly toned, otherwise very good. Cover story on the trial of Francisco "Kiko" Martinez, a lawyer activist charged with a plot to mail letter bombs, including one to a Denver policewoman. The article describes the charges as fabricated to neutralize an activist. Martinez was eventually exonerated of the charges, after evidence was "lost" and it became clear that the prosecution had worked inappropriately with one of the judges.
