Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. First of this edition ( 'First published by Thai Modern Classics, 1995'). This book was first published in Thai in 1985. This English edition was limited to 3200 copies. Once listed, it will be the Only hardcover for sale anywhere on the Internet. There is one soft cover copy for sale. You can see the covers of the book in the photos. They are exceptionally clean. The gilt lettering on the front and spine is nicely bright (although the scanned photo is slightly dulling it and making it appear to be a silver color) . The only wear on the covers is several tiny dents on the top edges and two at the front covers middle edge. There are three tiny tan spots on the rear bottom edge. There is no rubbing on any of the edges. That's also the case with the four cover corners, they are in excellent shape. The spine ends look very good as well. There is one speck-sized tan spot on the middle page edge. The page edges are otherwise perfectly clean. The book is very solidly bound from cover to cover with nicely tight pages throughout and nicely tight covers as well. The inside covers and end papers are a light green. They are very clean. The pages are also very clean. I scrolled through them carefully. The tan speck on the middle page edge just barely peeks over the edge of just two facing pages, teeny tiny. There's also a very small spot on the white margin of one page. The pages are otherwise perfectly clean. They are also nicely bright. I'm not finding any creasing, no placeholder creases. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. A previous owner did lightly pen a phone number and address just off the top edge of the rear side of the rear end paper. There is no other writing to be found anywhere in the book. You can see the dust jacket in the first few photos. It too is in very nice condition. It is very clean. There is one very small spot on the front cover. There is also a smooth shadow of what may have been a sticker off the bottom edge of the rear cover. There's only slight crinkling at the top edge of the spine and rear cover. There are no tears anywhere on the jacket. The flaps are in solid condition. They're perfectly clean. Again, there is a little crinkling at a few of the edges. The jacket will be fitted with a protective cover after the photos are scanned. From the dust jacket: 'Atsiri Thammachoat is a poetic writer with conscience, the author of bittersweet short stories and novels focusing on the common man through the plight of the seafarers of his native Hua Hin or the poverty-stricken, restless farmers of the Northeast. His 1970 collection of short stories 'Khunthong, you will return at dawn' was awarded the most prestigious regional literary accolade in 1981.'.
