Book condition - Good ; contents clean and no inscriptions but many pages, especially the first half show numerous indentations and creasing (please see photos) gradually diminishing through the pages, staple binding holding firm and inner hinges intact ; original, pale-grey, thin-card covers with title and illustrations on the front , slight wear at corners and edges, back clean with vertical partial crease towards the spine, spine complete with ends slightly rubbed, front clean with complete and bright title and illustrations but showing some pitting and with creasing and slight evidence of staple rust down the spine hinge. The contents contain somewhat surprisingly detailed and scientific descriptions of the families and species of spiders covered. A sound working copy of an uncommon publication.
